I’ve always dreamed of
an intimate wedding. I’m
scared a videographer
will make it seem as if
too much is going on,
and take the focus away
from the ceremony.
Are there ways to
hide the cameras?
ANSWER: In the interview
with the bride, it is
important to the professional
videographer to
know the mood and type
of style she is looking for;
cinematography, romantic,
hip hop, MTV type,
documentary or an
intimate quiet feel.
Today's video digital
technology has greatly
reduced the size of
cameras. At your wedding
rehearsal an experienced
videographer will plan
camera placement to
conceal his equipment.
With remote control
cameras most brides
never see a video camera.
My budget is almost to
the limit, and I just don’t
know how important a
video would be. Couldn’t
I have a friend video
the ceremony?
ANSWER: A reprint from a
recent Wedding & Event
Videography Association
survey “THE REGRETS
STRATEGY”: If you don’t
use a professional videographer,>
will you regret it?
Did you know brides who
used a friend or family
member to tape their
wedding often regret it?
WEVA surveyed brides
nationally who had gotten
married in the past twelve
months. They learned that
nearly half (49%) said
they’d hire a professional if
they had it all to do over
again. You can see why:
amateurs have less
experience, less training,
less knowledge, and
inferior equipment. The
results show, and then it’s
too late to go back and
redo it. That’s just the
beginning of the regrets.
Brides are often put in the
middle between the
officiant who gets upset if
“Uncle Charlie” keeps
getting in the way during
the ceremony. The last
thing a bride needs is
more stress! These second
thoughts are even more
pronounced with brides>
who didn’t have their
weddings taped at all. In
hindsight, 60% wished
they would have had their
weddings videotaped.
These brides discover that
wedding photographs
can’t do it all. As beautiful
as these photographs are,
they miss certain things.
Sounds and movement
really capture the essence
of the day. That is what
video does so beautifully.
When “Getting Ready”,
how can I capture every
moment on camera.
Can I have more than
two people video?
ANSWER: Getting ready
video adds one of the
most beautiful starting
places for your wedding
day story. We recommend
no more than one photographer
and one videographer.
Your getting
ready time with mom and
your bridesmaids will be a
buzz of activities. The
fewer extra people the
better, to capture the
mood, excitement and
glamorous essence of
your preparations. |
